Beauty in the Banal
In this assignment I asked the participants to create art out of nothing, to photograph the ordinary everyday things and scenes,
but somehow make them beautiful or at least interesting.
This assignment is about learning to see beyond the obvious photographic opportunities and looking to the ordinary and everyday to photograph poetic moments - things that most people will not notice.
The title 'Beauty in the Banal' is a quote about the American photographer William Eggleston.
