On this page you will find my current range of Lightroom 4 Develop Presets. Just purchase and download the file. Instructions on how to install are at the bottom of this page.
NEWSON – WARM FILM 01 (Kodak Portra style)
This purchase includes 1 preset.
I am very fond of Kodak Portra and for me this preset comes close to the look you get from that film.
Below are a couple of before an after views. Before is the straight Raw file with only Lightroom default settings and the after is with the ‘Newson – Warm Film 01′ preset.

Notes:
All images © Andrew Newson
This preset will not look exactly the same on all photographs. There are many variables due to lighting, lenses, cameras etc etc. But providing you know you’re way around Lightroom a bit I am confident you can use this as a base and tweak from there to get excellent film-like results.
Lost highlights? Use the Adjustment Brush with Highlights set to -25 to paint in some lost highlights.
All images were taken with a Fuji X-Pro1.
I hope you like the results.

Installing Lightroom develop presets…
1) Purchase and download the file
2) Place the file in the appropriate folder. The easy way to find out where they should be stored is to go in to ‘Preferences’ and click on the ‘Presets’ tab and then click the ‘Show Lightroom Presets Folder’! This will probably show you a folder called ‘Lightroom’. Just open up that folder and then open nother folder called ‘Develop Presets’ – this is where the preset should go.
3) You will see folders in the ‘Develop Presets’ folder for the different sets of presets. You can either create a new folder or place them in User Presets. Once you have copied your files/folder in to here just re-start Lightroom and your presets will appear in the list.
