For those that don't know, a photowalk is simply a planned walk with your camera, taking photos as you go and socialising with like-minded people.
For this walk we will meet oustide of the main entrance to Greenwich Station at 11.30am. We will wait for everyone to arrive before heading off at 11.45am.
The walk will be around Greenwich taking in some of the eclectic markets, you might want a bag for your camera and one for your purchases! Don't forget the tasty treats on offer too.
We'll then head down to the Cutty Sark and the river. We will go under the river and have a picnic on the other side taking in the view of the Naval College.
We then head back and walk around the college and if we get time perhaps we will venture in to Greenwich Park to get the view from the top.
The walk is likely to be around 3-5 miles and you should wear some shoes that are comfortable to walk in. We will take breaks and stop for refreshments on the way round.
We will aim to finish the walk at around 4.30pm and for those that want to, we will head to a pub for a drink. Afterwards it's likely that a few of use will jump on a boat from Greenwich Pier and head along to the Southbank for a bite to eat (and maybe a cocktail!?), you would be welcome to join us.
Just for fun, I have picked a creative assignment for the day...
The assignment is 'Words'.
I will have a little box of words printed on paper for a type of lucky dip! Everyone will take a small selection at random (approx 3 words each) and attempt to interpret those words in photographs during the photowalk.
Everyone is welcome to share their photos via the Photowalks Facebook page which is here:
There is no restriction on ability or type of camera used, even a mobile phone is fine.
This photowalk is more a creative, fun and social event than a photography courses as such.
On sale for the first 5 sales.
