A photowalk is a fun and social way to enjoy photography with like-minded people.
I went on my first photowalk over 10 years ago and I made some great friends that I'm still in touch with today. Having enjoyed photowalks myself I decided to start running them myself as part of my photography training business.
For this photowalk I have mapped out a route of approximately 4-5 miles that will start at Borough Market and finish at Covent Garden.
We will first meet at the entrance of Borough Market, near to the London Bridge stations. We will meet here at 10am and depart on the photowalk at 10.15pm. Just enough time to arrive and grab breakfast or a hot chocolate from the market!
We have about 4 hours to walk just about 4-5 miles and we will be taking some stop offs for refreshments, naturally!
We start the walk by heading down the South Bank past The Tate Modern, National Theatre and London Eye.
We cross the river at Westminster Bridge for a view of the houses of Parliment and Big Ben.
Once across the river we will be heading for Soho but taking in Trafalgar Square on the way.
We will walk around Soho before heading towards Covent Garden via Leicester Square.
For those that want to, we will be having a drink around somewhere around Covent Garden. You can grab some photographs of the Christmas Lights on your way back to the tube station!
This photowalk is not a structured photography course as such, however I am very happy to offer tuition and help with your camera if required, but please bear in mind that it is a group event and I will need to split my time between all attendees. If you require help with your camera please just ask when on the walk.
If you are looking for a more structured photography course to get to grips with your camera settings please consider the Love Photography Courses that I offer.
Everyone who attends photowalks are more than welcome to be part of our private Facebook Group for the walks. This is a great place to come and share your images from the walk and to stay in touch with people you have met. Once booking you can just access the group here and request to join. The group is also useful if we get separated on the walk and we can use it as a communication tool.
We do tend to get a few existing clients coming along on these walks, but it's always great to see new faces and you will be most welcomed when joining us.
