ONE MONTH LATER :
- Beautiful 100 page photobook of your work delivered to your home.
The weekend workshop is an intense course in creative photography that will culminate in a beautiful 30x30cm 100 page photobook of your images.
You are going to immerse yourself in the creative assignments, take a lot of photos, learn how to edit them down to the good ones and sequence them for your photobook.
You are going to walk miles! You will need to be of a reasonable level of fitness and have some good walking shoes or trainers.
In this workshop you'll learn from myself whilst working in pairs, on your own and as a group for a collaborative project.
The workshop is intended for intermediate to advanced level photographers who want to push themselves creatively.
This workshop is pretty full on, there will be a lot of walking and of course a lot of taking photographs. My intention is to shoot as much as possible in one weekend and ultimately learn as much as you can. There will be creative photographic assignments to push you out of your comfort zone. There will be tuition on hand. There will be image critique sessions. There will be lots of opportunities to socialise and generally have a lot of fun.
There will be private Facebook Page just for this one group. This is a great place to come and share your photos, ask questions and keep in touch with other participants of the course
I will also be creating an online gallery on my website and will display all of your images from the workshop.
After the workshop I will produce a beautiful 100 page photobook of your images that you will have carefully selected and sequenced! This will be posted to your address 1 month after the workshop, all included in the price.

This is your first chance to be creative but also to iron out any technical issues with your cameras and ask any questions about settings you may have. I will be on hand at all times for you.
Mood/themes: Document Borough Market in a creative way
We will make a quick pitstop for a coffee and discuss how things are going.
2nd Shooting Session (12.00noon-1.30pm)
We will be upping the ante a little with this one, you are all sent off on a photographic assignment. You will work in pairs to take photographs of people you meet on the street, look for either street fashion images and/or stranger portrait images. In addition I would like you to use this time to take portraits of each other in the pairs you are working - these portraits will form part of your artist statement in your photobooks. You have just 1.5 hours to complete your first photographic creative assignment and report back to the cafe for lunch.
Assignments: Stranger Portraits and/or Street Fashion and Biography Portraits
We will be meeting at a designated cafe for lunch and will catch up on how you got on with the assignment.
3rd Shooting Session (3.00pm-4.30pm)
For this shooting session we will head to The Barbican Centre to document the space in a creative way. Composition is key and to create image that reflect the atmosphere of the area.
Assignment: To document in a creative way an iconic area of brutalist architecture in London
We take a pitstop for a quick drink and discuss how we are getting on with the assignment.
