This is a fashion photography course with a difference! It’s for 12-16 year olds.
Students will be able to shoot with their own cameras and that can be a digital SLR or a mobile phone!
With a model for the day everyone will have a say in the styling of the shoot. From the hair and make-up to the clothes the model wears.
We will then shoot some fast paced fashion images with studio lights. Everyone will have a good amount of time shooting with the model with me on hand at all times to help you. It’s a great way to have a go at creative fashion photography without too many technical restrictions.
At the end of the shoot we will download all of your images and choose the best two from each individual and produce some stunning fine art prints for you to take home.

You will need:
A smart phone with camera and flash or other digital camera.

Photo.Group (June)
Photo.Group is the brand new community based photography group run from my studio in Crowborough, East Sussex.
There are two meetings a month to give everyone the opportunity to be able to attend one or the other days (you don’t need to attend both as they will be doing the same). We meet on the first consecutive Tuesday and Wednesday of every month at 7.00pm until about 8.30pm.
The cost to attend the group is £10 per person and anyone wanting to attend will need to purchase their space here. We have a limited amount of space so it’s first-come first-served. The cost includes tea or coffee. Due to the limited places if you purchase a place but then don’t attend I am unable to give a refund or transfer that place to another month.
Photo.Group is held at my studio in Crowborough. You will find directions under the Studio menu.
So what do we do?
The group is now structured in such a way that every month we alternate between two different types of meeting. One month I will set you a creative assignment for you to photograph over a two month period. The idea is is kick start the creativity and get you shooting and learning. The second type of meeting is based on learning something – so it could be photo software, a mini lesson in depth-of-field or composition etc.
Month 1 (May): I set you a Creative Assignment
Month 2 (June): I deliver a Mini Photo Lesson
Month 3 (July): I set a Creative Assignment and you do a Show & Tell slideshow of your images from the previous assignment
Month 4 (August): I deliver a Mini Photo Lesson
It’s a good idea to bring a pen and pad a long to these meetings, to write down the assignment or make notes about the lesson.
Always bring your images for the Show & Tell slideshow with you on a USB memory stick. We will plug this in to the large screen and slideshow your images.
