This course is running completely online and can be taken from anywhere in the world.


Everyone on the Photoclub courses can join the private Facebook Group to ask questions and share work-in-progress etc. You can request to join here if you have signed up for the Photoclub course.



You will need a password to access these assignments which you get whilst on the course.



All of your assignments must be submitted within a 6 month time frame from starting the course.


Photoclub Technical Level 2 is a 6 month long photography course in the technical aspects. We run this course completely online and therefore can be taken from anywhere in the world.

You can start Photoclub Technical Level 2 at any point and needs to be completed within a 6 month time period.

If you're looking improve your skills and be confident with your camera then this is the course for you.

The essence of the course is 5 individual lessons/assignments. Each lesson/assignment will tackle a specific technical area of photography.

At the end of the course you will receive a certificate to say that you have completed the course and gained a good understanding of your camera and photography.


This course is for intermediates.

Some people like to supplement this course with a 121 session to gain a greater understanding of their camera but this is not essential.

Photo Tasks, Questions & Feedback

Throughout the course there will also be photo tasks and some questions as homework, this will demonstrate that you have a good understanding of the lessons.

Facebook Group

Every member will be invited to a private Facebook group and I would encourage you to join and use this as a place to ask questions or share your results. This group is used for all of my Photoclub groups.

Objectives of the course:

The course will help you gain a better understanding of your camera and photography in general. We will move away from fully automatic modes and explore ways to get better results more consistently.

What will you need?

A camera: a Digital SLR (DSLR) or CSC (Compact System Camera)
